Payment and Refund Policy
This policy was last updated on 22 September 2026.
Scope of This Policy
This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of digital courses and related services offered through starquivo. The services covered include access to entertainment media resources focused on stage and spotlight coverage, such as interviews, camera planning, lighting design and polished production workflows. It governs transactions for one-time course purchases, subscription access and any bundled materials. The policy applies to customers located in the United Kingdom and explains how payments are handled, when contracts are formed and the circumstances under which refunds may be issued. It does not cover physical goods or services provided by third parties.
Prices, Currencies, Taxes and Additional Charges
All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling. Value added tax at the prevailing UK rate is included where applicable and shown separately at checkout. No additional charges apply for standard access to digital content. starquivo reserves the right to adjust prices for future purchases, but existing subscriptions remain at the rate agreed at the time of purchase. Currency conversion fees may apply if paying from outside the UK, but these are the responsibility of the customer and not charged by starquivo.
Payment Methods, Authorisation and Security
Accepted payment methods include major credit and debit cards processed through secure third-party gateways. Payment is authorised at the time of order placement. starquivo does not store card details. All transactions use encryption compliant with UK data protection standards. If authorisation fails, the order will not be processed and the customer will be notified immediately. Duplicate payments are monitored and automatically flagged for review.
Order Confirmation and Contract Formation
A contract is formed when starquivo sends an order confirmation email following successful payment. This confirmation details the purchased courses, access period and total amount paid. Until this email is received, no binding agreement exists. Customers should retain the confirmation for their records as proof of purchase.
Cancellation Rights and Applicable Periods
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, customers in the United Kingdom have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase during which they may cancel without giving a reason. For digital content, this right is lost once the customer begins downloading or streaming the material, as permitted by law. Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time but refunds are limited to the unused portion only in eligible cases.
Refund Eligibility, Exclusions and Non-Refundable Items
Refunds are available for cancellations within the 14-day period where no substantial content has been accessed. Non-refundable items include partially completed courses, promotional bundles already redeemed and any content downloaded after purchase. Refunds are not provided for change of mind after the cooling-off period or for failure to meet personal expectations regarding course difficulty.
Requesting a Refund: Procedure and Required Information
To request a refund, customers must submit a written request via the contact form on the Contacts page or by emailing [email protected]. The request should include the order number, date of purchase, customer name and a brief explanation. Incomplete requests may be returned for additional information, delaying processing.
Refund Decision, Inspection and Notification
Upon receipt, starquivo will inspect the request against the eligibility criteria within 10 working days. Customers will receive email notification of approval, rejection or the need for further details. Rejected requests will include the specific reason based on policy terms.
Refund Processing, Methods and Timelines
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Processing typically takes 5 to 10 working days after approval, though bank processing may extend this to 14 days. starquivo will notify the customer once the refund has been initiated. No refunds are issued in cash or alternative methods.
Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions and Promotional Offers
Digital courses are non-returnable once access begins. Subscription cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle. Promotional offers are non-refundable if the discount code has been applied and content accessed. Free trial periods convert automatically unless cancelled before expiry.
Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks and Suspected Fraud
Failed payments result in order cancellation. Duplicate charges are investigated and refunded promptly upon verification. Chargebacks are treated as disputes and may lead to account suspension pending resolution. Suspected fraudulent activity will be reported to relevant authorities and access suspended immediately.
Mandatory Consumer Rights Under UK Law
This policy does not exclude or limit any rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other UK legislation. Customers retain the right to claim for faulty digital content or services not provided with reasonable care and skill, regardless of the time limits stated above.
